Cutting Guide Arrows

Many of the Admiral plates of 400 stamp images have Cutting Guide Arrows engraved on the plate to ensure that the sheets of 400 were correctly cut into panes of 100.
Usually these arrows are well outside the stamp margins, but some, larger margined stamp do show examples. The hand engraved cutting guide arrows are quite interesting.
Leopold Beaudet has determined the majority of the known cutting guide arrow plate positions through his examination of the plate proofs held at Library and Archives Canada.
