2¢ Carmine 12UR92

(A retouch) "to merge the top and second lines in the upper right and strengthen the vertical line in the upper left - 12UR92"

Leo's Notes

Retouch

  • Top two horizontal lines are merged from the right crown to the UR vertical line.
  • UL vertical line retouched from top to line 5.
  • UL frame junction line retouched at the top.

Other Features

  • Horizontal line on the King’s chest above the medals.
  • Horizontal line in the right inner oval opposite the middle of leaf 3 and mark opposite the bottom of leaf 4.

The retouch is quite obvious.  It is the most easily recognized (of the plate 12 retouches).  The stamp has other interesting features. It is the only stamp on plate 12 that I'm aware of where the UL vertical line was retouched.  There is a horizontal line just above the King's medals.  It is much shorter than the lines on 12UL93 and 12UR18. There are also marks in the right inner oval.

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
