Reiche states "No. 9 a hammer like flaw inside left numeral.

Research notes:

The first reported examples of potential Reiche #9 had straight edges at the top and right.

There are now at least four different positions showing this 'hammer like' flaw.

The plate position has been suggested by Jim André, who made his determination after examining the plate proofs at Library and Archives Canada.
