2¢ Carmine 6LL43

A defective transfer of the lower left corner.

Research notes:

While not discussed in his book, Marler's personal collection had additional CPVs, usually with multiple examples.

Leo's Notes

  • The bottom of the left frame is thin from the bottom of the 2 to the LL corner.

  • The bottom frame is thin at the LL corner.

  • The bottom half of the vertical line of the LNB is very thin.

  • The bottom line of the LNB is thin at the LL corner, but almost immediately gets thick. It stays thick up to the left edge of the 2, and then gets a bit thinner.

  • Faint horizontal spur extending from the bottom frame into the left margin.

Similar to 5LR87. On 5LR87, the left frame is thin opposite the entire LNB and the vertical line of the LNB is not as thin.

Faint horizontal guideline in the bottom margin.

Guide dot at the centre of the left inner oval.

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
