"Extensive doubling of almost the whole subject"

Research notes:

There are at least three different positions which show very similar re-entering of the frame above "A P".  Compare 10UR23, 14LR29 and 16LL17.

Leo's Notes

  • Doubling in the top frame with a white gap at centre.
  • Doubling in both crowns and the horizontal lines in both upper spandrels.
  • Doubling of the bottom border of the inner oval below DA POS in CANADA POSTAGE.
  • Doubling in the four leaves on the right side and the horizontal lines of the LR spandrel.
  • Doubling in the bottom line of the RNB.

Retouch (not in Marler and not on proof)
On the proof, there is a nick in the UR corner of the frame. Stamps do not have the nick. The subject was retouched after the proof was made. Only sign of retouching.

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
