Research notes:

In the Matte collection, his selection of #606 examples contained both 104LR34 and 104LR92. The differences are quite subtle ~ note the retouched upper left top horizontal line.

  • Retouch to top frame at left stops in left outer oval above right leg of third A. 7.7 mm from left frame.
  • Retouch to bottom frame. Engraver’s slip begins below the N in CENTS and ends just past the 2 in the RNB. Similar slip on 104LR92.
