(A retouch where) "The vertical line of the right numeral box was extended downward through the frame"
Comments
Based on Leopold Beaudet's notes from examining the proof of Plate 64 housed in LAC, this is NOT the proper image. "The vertical line in the RNB extends down into the bottom margin. There are also dots in TAG in POSTAGE, two horizontal lines intrude very slightly into the upper part of the RNB, and there are smudges in the inner oval below C and outer oval above N in CANADA."
