If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
