5¢ Blue 8LL90

A diagonal line in the left numeral box.

Research notes:

During my only visit to Library and Archives Canada several years ago, I made some diagrams to help me visualize some of Marler’s written stamp descriptions. At that time I noted a diagonal line in the left numeral box of position 90 of the lower left pane of plate 8. The stamp illustrated would seem to be an ideal match, but is the only example found to date.

Flaw in Zone 1
Plate Position: 8LL90

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
