3¢ Brown RVS #8
A plate crack in the top margin starting over the 'PO' and extending to above the middle of the right crown.
Research notes:
Randall W. Van Someren (RVS), writing in The Admiral’s Log (Dec. 2010 and Dec. 2013) reported 8 different “New Plate Cracks” on the 3¢ Brown. This is his number 8.
Note that there is a short, horizontal line in the centre of the top margin and quite close to the frame, which is also constant.
