a plate crack in the bottom margin from below the 'S' of Cents to well into the right margin.
Research notes:
Randall W. Van Someren (RVS), writing in The Admiral’s Log (Dec. 2010 and Dec. 2013) reported 8 different “New Plate Cracks” on the 3¢ Brown. This is his number 5 and also appears to be Reiche No. 2.
As Simon Young has indicated, the short horizontal mark near the lower right of the right numeral box is constant.
