Doubling of both vertical lines of the right numeral box. Slight doubling of the left crown.

  • The vertical line of the RNB is doubled. 
  • There also appears to be signs of doubling in the bottom lines of both numeral boxes and in the left crown. 
  • The vertical members of most of the letters in THREE CENTS appear narrower than normal, and in some cases the horizontal lines extend slightly into the left side of the vertical members. 
  • The proof has an “x” written in pencil in the right margin of this subject.
