2¢ Green 182UR88

"A broken line in the left margin, opposite the crown, nearly touching the frame, and a strong line through the second A of CANADA to the King's head, with marks in DA and PO and faint horizontal lines above DA and another between the top line in the upper left and the frame."

NOTE: The marks in PO correspond to part of the O of TWO. On plates 182 and 184 there are three re-entries which, though not spectacular in appearance, are of unusual interest, for in each case the extra lines are in the upper part of the re-entered subject and reproduce either a part of the word "TWO" or a faint outline of the left "2."

The stamp to the right, 182UR89, shows a minor re-entry.

Research notes:

The two stamps illustrated below share some characteristics with 182UR88, but clearly are from different plate positions.

We use Statser to measure basic website usage without cookies. The system processes page views, clicks, form submissions without form contents, referrers, browser/device information, error pages, approximate visit duration, and pseudonymous visitor keys. Full IP addresses are not stored permanently by Statser; they are processed briefly on the server to create a pseudonymous visitor key, apply technical exclusions, and optionally resolve approximate GeoIP information. If GeoIP is enabled, the IP address is checked locally against a MaxMind GeoLite2 database to determine the approximate country or city. The visitor IP address is not sent to MaxMind. MaxMind is contacted only to download and update the GeoLite2 database. Detailed data is deleted after the configured detail retention period. For long-term trends, Statser also stores aggregated daily values without individual visitor profiles.
