2¢ Carmine Relief Break

A relief break in the bottom frame almost below the left side of the right numeral box.

Marler states: "a break showed for the first time in the subject 89UL94 and recurred in the remaining subjects that row (Row 4) (actually, Marler meant Column, not Row) and of Rows (Columns) 5, 6 and 7. When the engraving of Row 8 (Column 8) reached 89UL68 a small nick appeared below the N of Cents...."

Comments

Based on Marler's notes on Page 286 (see above), this stamp could be from any of positions 89UL94, 89UL95, 89UL96 or 89UL97.
