2¢ Carmine Coil Two Lines Merged

"In the subjects of column 10 and 11, and in the bottom subjects of column 9 of the bottom half, the outer ends of two horizontal lines opposite 'TA' are merged." (On Plate 1)

Comments

Marler actually states rows, but it is well known that he meant columns.Marler's notes suggest that up to 50 positions show an example of this type of variety. Differences in both the size and shape of the spot of colour as well as the retouching of the adjacent vertical line are apparent.
