Faint scratches in the bottom margin.
Comments
Without the lower stamp to aid in the location of the plate position, this stamp would not likely be plateable.
As Leo noted in an email correspondence, "One of the features is a 'weak' vertical line in the LNB. It is weak insofar as it is thinner than the bottom stamp in your paste-up pair; however, if the bottom stamp weren't available as reference, the thinner line would probably go unnoticed."
Leo's Notes
- Dot in the left side of the C in CANADA. Not on stamp.
- Smudge in the left inner oval below the left side of the N in CANADA. Not on stamp.
- Two horizontal scratches almost in a line in the bottom margin. One scratch is below NT in CENTS. The other one is longer, and is below the S and both sides of the S. Very faint on the stamp.
- The vertical line of the LNB is weak (defective transfer?).
This stamp is in the bottom row so it is the top stamp in a join.
