A strong defective transfer of the lower left corner area.

Research notes:

Leopold Beaudet determined the position using the plate proofs at Library and Archives Canada. Defective transfers are fairly common, but this one is quite special. Notice that the vertical line of the left numeral box seems to be more affected than the frame in the same area.

Leo's Notes

The vertical line of the left numeral box and the bottom line from the corner to the '2' are missing. The left and bottom frames are weak opposite the missing lines of the LNB.

The stamp comes from column 10 of the UR pane.

Plate 83 is one of many with a guide dot in the right margin near the frame on the stamps in column 10 of the UR and LR panes. The guide dot is visible on 83UR60.
