2¢ Carmine 7UR33

The top horizontal line in the upper left is doubled at the left end. There is some doubling in the left crown. The lines from the bottom of the right '2' into the right margin are constant as are the two small marks in the right margin opposite the 'G' of Postage.

Comments

While not discussed in his book, Marler's personal collection had additional CPVs, usually with multiple examples.

Leo's Notes

  • The left crown and the horizontal lines around it are doubled. The doubling is blurry, and the area appears heavily inked.

  • Horizontal scratch from the top of the bottom right vertical member of the 2 in the RNB to the right frame.
