Leo's Notes

  • Many marks in the RNB. The most prominent are two nearly vertical dashes to the right of the 2. Several marks in the top loop. Faint, nearly horizontal dash touching the left border.
  • Many marks in the LNB.
  • Marks in WO in TWO and TS in CENTS. Most prominent is a horizontal dash half way down the T.
  • Dot in vertical member and another in top arm of the E in POSTAGE.

On the proof, there is a nick in the UR corner of the frame. This was removed by retouching after the proof was made. There is no nick on the issued stamp.
Faint vertical scratch in the left margin opposite leaf 4. Midway between 14UL82 and 14UL83 so it may be perfed out or appear in the right margin of 14UL82.
Guide dot touching the left border of the right inner oval.
