"Crudely retouched in the lower left, from plates 11 or 12." A strong, two-part retouch of the vertical line in the lower left, which has the appearance of a jagged line. Note that leaf one on the left shows a number of missing or partial veins.

Marler's personal collection had examples of this CPV, but as discussed on page 393, the variety was not present on the plate proofs.
