A flaw in the bottom margin below the space between the left numeral box and the 'C' of Cent.
Research notes:
While the shape of the mark on these two examples seems to differ slightly, there are other indications that both examples come from the same plate position.
- A dot in the bottom margin below the 'N' of Cents.
- A dot in the left margin opposite the bottom corner.
- A guide dot in the inner oval at left centre.
- A dot in the left margin just above the top left corner.
